About Us

Wilsonville Funeral Home was established in 1933 by J. Melvin Ringo in Woodburn. He acquired the business when it was located at the corner of First and Garfield streets. Within a few years, the business expanded and moved across the block to 2nd and Garfield. As the business continued to thrive, it grew with additional facilities as they became available. Following his service in WWII, Melvin's son-in-law, Charles Cornwell, joined the family business. Charles and his wife, Lou Jane, managed and expanded the funeral home over the next six decades. In 1995, recognizing the need for services in a growing community, a new chapel was built in Wilsonville, marking the first new funeral home constructed in Oregon in over 20 years.
