Shirley Louise (DeNeui) Elligsen, 94, of Tualatin, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2023.

Shirley was born January 25, 1929 to Alfred Melvin DeNeui and Olive Gertrude (Dragoo) DeNeui

The middle child of 5 girls Shirley was raised on her family's farm in Stafford, Oregon with her sisters, Nellie Gene, Maxine Leone, Arlene Fae, and Darlene Mae all whom proceeded her in death.

Shirley graduated from West Linn High School in 1943 and married her husband of 73 years, Ralph Harlan Elligsen, on September 16th, 1946. When Shirley and Ralph were not busy on their farm, known as Elligsen Road Farm, they would volunteer as Clackamas County 4-H Leaders for more than 10 years. Shirley was known for her extensive pig collection, and belonged to the Happy Pig Collectors Club.

Ralph and Shirley raised their niece Tomalene (Nagle) Borquez as their own. A few years later they adopted son Rudie William Elligsen. Shirley is survived by Niece Tomalene Borquez; Grandchildren Jeremiah Kaufman, Vanessa Borquez, Gabe Borquez; and three great-grandchildren.

Shirley Louise Elligsen was a kind and thoughtful woman who will be missed by all who held her dear to their hearts.

A Memorial service will be held 11am on April 8, 2023 at Cornwell Wilsonville Funeral Home, 29222 SW Town Center Loop.
