Shannon passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 83 years old. Preceded in death by parents, Vernon and Eleanor Blomberg, brother Roger, and son Jeff. She was born in Woodburn, Oregon, and spent most of her life in the area. Shannon was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Shannon is survived by her husband, Larry Lynn. They were married on September 16, 1962, and enjoyed 60 years and 9 months of love and happiness. She is survived by her daughter, Kirsten Steffey, son-in-law Jeff Steffey, and daughter-in-law Elisabeth Lynn. Shannon leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Courtney Savens, Brice Hoffman-Mercier, Dylan Lynn, Aidan Lynn, Hannah Steffey, and Cayla Steffey. She was number two of four siblings: Roger Blomberg (deceased), Karen Henkes, and Mary Schroeder.

Shannon loved family and especially enjoyed the grandchildren. She loved Hawaii and enjoyed taking each grandchild on their own "Grandma only trip". Family and friend travel adventures were always treasured. Favorite destinations included Europe, Russia, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Belize, and seeing much of the USA. Family was very important to her and along with her husband started an annual family tradition of volleyball competition. Extended family gathered once a year to enjoy a volleyball tournament. This year will be the 45th Tournament. She also loved a good book and was an avid reader, often cuddling up to disappear between the pages. Shannon enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice. She sang regularly with the Church Choir including solos and duets occasionally.

Not many people could compare to the person Shannon exemplified. If you needed advice, she was there. If you needed a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, she was there. A gentle, kind, and loving soul through and through. She will be remembered for so many wonderful memories.
