Robert A. Steinseifer, passed away peacefully in his home in Cave Creek, AZ on March 26, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born March 8, 1928 in Butte, Montana and grew up in Klamath Falls, OR and Tacoma, WA. He graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma and enlisted in the Navy following graduation. He served for two years and was discharge in 1948. In 1949 he enrolled at Oregon State College where he met and married Lois Irene Conachan in September 1950 and graduated in 1952. He was also a member of the Beta Theta Phi fraternity. Following graduation, he began his career with Van Waters & Rogers, Inc. where he was named President in 1984. They lived in Oregon and California during his working years. Upon retirement they moved to Scottsdale, AZ and lived there for nine years. Then they moved to Pleasanton, CA for a few years before moving to Tualatin in 2002.
Bob and Lois enjoyed cruising the world in their retirement years. Bob was an avid golfer and he stayed very active. He walked twice a day and was known in his neighborhood as "Walker Bob."
He is survived by his sons, Kirk and Kyle and daughters, Denise Rose and Carrie Bates, and their spouses, along with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be be held in Cornwell Wilsonville Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 10th at 1:00pm.
