It is with tremendous sadness and grief that we announce the passing of Nellie Elliot, who died peacefully in her home August 16, 2020.
Nellie Wilson Kaiper was born December 16, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Dean McMurray Kaiper and Samuel Everett Kaiper. She had one older sister who preceded her named Julia Jean Kaiper whom she admired greatly and spoke of often.
While Nellie grew up in Ohio, she was a California girl at heart, loving the beach and all types of art. She was incredibly smart, especially when it came to money. She spent much of her time watching and reading about the stock market and was able to support herself independently through it. Nellie was a force, strong and stubborn, but she was also fiercely loved by her children, Phillip, David, Richard, her late son Max, and her step-children, Cathrine, Bill, Suzy, and Daniel.
She had many opportunities in life, including owning a music store that brought her such joy. She fought hard to live as long as she did, always having a spark and zest for life even when things were difficult.
She leaves behind her sons, stepchildren, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A virtual service is being planned for a later date.
