Murl F. Smidt Jr (aka Tim, Butch), passed away peacefully at his home on September 24, 2023 at the age of 76. He is survived by his son Kevin (Carie) of Hubbard, brother Stephen (Kathy) of Canby, lady friend Jean Stevens of Canby, and many nieces and nephews. His wife Paula, daughter Trishia, and brother Harold preceded him in death. He spent his life spending time with family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He worked for Willamette Egg Farms for 41 years. He was a Vietnam veteran. Family will reach out to friends and loved ones regarding Celebration of Life arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following organizations that Murl liked and donated to: Oregon Humane Society, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Northwest Steelheaders.
