Aurora – Keith H. Elligsen died unexpectedly May 12, 2023 at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital. He was born July 22, 1935 in Oregon City, Oregon, the son of Harry G. and Maud S. Elligsen.
Keith graduated from Sherwood High School, Class of 1953. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army for three years. After serving in the military, Keith accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and attended Multnomah School of the Bible where he met and married his wife of almost 62 years, Valarie (Libby) Elligsen. Keith retired from Tektronix, Inc. after 33 years. He lived most of this 87 years on the family farm and continued to farm until moving to Aurora in 2015. Keith used his love for the Lord and his singing ability to sing in the Portland Singing Christmas Tree for 35 years.
In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by his sisters: Lorna Wortman and Ardonnah Nowlin. Surviving, in addition to his wife Valarie, are his son Colin Elligsen (Julianna) and daughter Colleen Elligsen, six grandchildren; Aaron Elligsen (Leslye), Mariah Elligsen, Hannah Chapman, Cameron Lively (Steven), Ashlynne Loonstyn and Regan Loonstyn; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 17 at Meadows Springs Community Church 12647 SW 62nd Avenue, Portland. Donations can be made in Keith's name to: Portland Singing Christmas Tree and Meadow Springs Community Church.
