Jackie E. Huddleston, a 50 yr resident of Wilsonville, Or. passed away Sunday Dec. 4, 2016. He was 79 yrs old.
Jackie was born in Jellico, Tennessee on March 27,1937 to Elbert and Elizabeth Huddleston. He later moved to Portland, Oregon in 1955 to begin his career as a pipeline welder for Loy Clark Pipeline. That's where he met and married Betty Westlake, in which they celebrated 60 yrs of marriage together.
Jackie was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 290 for 64 yrs. As a pipeline welder he traveled working coast to coast,Hawaii as well as on the Alaska Pipeline. He loved to fish in the ocean with his boat. They spent a great deal of time at Rockaway Beach. He loved to keep busy and knew how to maintain and repair anything he put his hands on. He loved to work in his yard where he spent a lot of time. Jackie was known for his compassion and willingness to help others.
Jackie is survived by his wife Betty Huddleston, 2 daughters Cindy and Peggy, 5 grandchildren , 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grand child. Jackie especially loved his cat Punkin, which he found as a stray and became his lap buddy.
