George Rossman was born December 17th, 1932 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away in Aurora, OR on July 25th, 2016. He was the first child of Arthur and Nettie Rossman and was later joined by a sister, Barbara. The family moved to Oregon, eventually settling in West Linn. George graduated from West Linn High School and then began working for the family businesses, Rossman Landfill and Rossman Sanitary Service, eventually becoming owner. He also served in the Army National Guard. George married Sharon Tong in 1952 and they had three daughters. They were married for 51 years, until her death in 2003. Their greatest passion was traveling in their motorhome and going on cruises to foreign countries. George loved to fish, hunt, go boating, snowmobiling and riding his razor. He was a talented wood carver, winning many competitions. They spent their winters in Bullhead City, AZ and Las Vegas, NV and their summers in the northwest. George is survived by his daughter Diane Warren (Tom), sister Barbara Verboort (Ken), son in law Ron Black, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his beloved dogs Mattie and Lulu. He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon and his daughter's Kathy and Nancy. The service will be held at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Wilsonville on Friday, July 29th at 11:00 a.m.with entombment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City.
