After retirement Fred spent many months on the island of Maui which he considered a little "piece of paradise" and where he established many long-time friendships. Fred also lent many hours to the counseling and mentoring of AA members who sought his input and leadership to successfully overcome their burdensome disease. He was an amazing. brilliant, loving and caring father, father-in law, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend.

He can be very proud of the "legacy of learning" that he began so many years before.
The family would like to thank the administration and care givers of Countryside Living in Canby and the staff of Legacy Hospice Service for their compassionate and wonderful assistance over the last several months.
