Obituary

Daniel Alfred Pedelaborde, age 82, of West Linn, Oregon, passed away peacefully at home on May 18, 2024 surrounded by family. Dan is survived by his cherished and devoted wife, Elaine, and their three children: Nicole Hawkins, Dan (Anne) Pedelaborde, and Noelle (David) Fels and 5 Grandchildren: Averi,Thomas, William, Alexander, and Emma.

Dan was born on March 14,1942, in San Francisco, CA. He attended Lincoln High School. After graduation he proudly served in the US Navy igniting his love of the sea before earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from San Francisco State University. His first job was working at the Matson Navigation Company in the passenger liner division which led to a successful career in various Sales leadership roles in the Cruise line industry, making significant contributions at Sitmar, Princess, Silverseas before closing out his illustrious journey with Star Clippers. Dan was also a proud member of SKAL International. Dan's professional life was marked by his passion and dedication to his work. His expertise and enthusiasm made him a hero to many and left an indelible mark on the cruising industry and earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Stroke Association.

Dan will always be known for his adventurous spirit, vibrant personality, warmth, sense of humor and deep family connections. His legacy will live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to know him, and will be deeply missed.
