Daisy "Lennie" Daw
June 13, 1940 - November 4, 2019

Daisy Lenore Good was born at her family's farm in Elgin, Oregon on June 13, 1940. Born to parents Howard and Lillian Good, she was the third child and only daughter. She had three brothers: Paul, Dick, and Warren.

Daisy started playing piano at the age of five and she and her brother Warren both excelled in music. She went on to minor in music at Eastern Oregon University, with English as her major.

Daisy had her first job as an English teacher at Mac High in Milton Freewater, Oregon. It was there she met fellow English teacher Larry Daw. After dating only two weeks, the couple was engaged, and on August 17, 1963 they were married. Larry gave Daisy the nickname Lennie (from her middle name) and it stuck. Everyone knew her as Lennie.

Lennie and Larry had three children: Shawn, Kevin, and Meghan.

Lennie and Larry loved traveling and were English teachers on the island of Guam from 1967 to 1968.

Once they settled back in Oregon, Lennie shifted her teaching to preschool age. She loved little children and worked as a preschool teacher for 21 years.

Keeping their love of travel, Lennie and Larry visited all 50 states and 47 countries in their 56 years of marriage.

Lennie also loved sewing and craft projects, puzzles, and loved playing the piano all her life.

Lennie is survived by her husband Larry, her son Shawn and his wife Kim, her son Kevin and his wife Teresa, her daughter Meghan, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and her brother Paul.

A public viewing will be held at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Wilsonville on Friday November 8 from 1:00-3:00 pm.

Lennie's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 9 at 11:00am at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Wilsonville. A public burial ceremony will be held immediately after the service at Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard.
