Carol Jean Yow (Klupenger)
April 19, 1944 – October 10, 2016
Carol was the youngest of four children. She was the daughter of Joseph H. and Lucille T. Klupenger and was born in Portland, OR. She attended Ascension grade school and Marycrest High School. She took a business course after graduating and worked as a bookkeeper. She married Roland "Bud" Tolles and was married for 28 years prior to his death. After her dad had a stroke, she and Bud were his caregivers for many years. Carol enjoyed traveling, the Internet, politics, cake decorating, crocheting and bead work. During her travels she met her second husband, Lee Yow. After seven years they parted and she became unable to take care of herself. For about the last ten years she was in care and rehab facilities.
She was a devout Catholic and practiced her religion as best she could.
She is survived by her sister, Sister Dolores Klupenger SSMO of Beaverton and her brother, Ray (Candy) Klupenger of Aurora, seven nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews and one great, great nephew. Her parents and brother, Ron, predeceased her.
A Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, November 2, 11:00, at St. Cyril's Catholic Church in Wilsonville.
The Rosary will be said prior to the Memorial at 10:30 a.m.
