Carie Amber (Williams) Smidt, of Canby, Oregon was born June 7, 1978 to Danny and Bonnie (White) Williams in Portland, Oregon. She passed from this world into Paradise on May 11, 2026, of a sudden heart attack. Carrie married Kevin Smidt on September 8, 2001, in Canby, Oregon. Carie was a 1996 graduate of Estacada High School. She attended Oregon State University and received her Associate’s Degree from Clackamas Community College. Carie worked for Chico’s in Woodburn, Oregon for 16 years. She was promoted from keyholder to Assistant Manager.

Carie enjoyed spending time at Goodwill seeking new treasures. Where others only find this and that, Carie could find some beautiful items. Flowers brought delight to Carie. She planted trees, bushes and flowers and Kevin was left to water them. She would draw flowers and spend hours pressing and preserving the delicate flowers and leaves. She was always ready for a game of Hand and Foot. She and Kevin enjoyed camping and over the years it became ‘glamping’. Evenings she watched Jeopardy, to gather odd facts. She was a cherished wife and loving ‘Cat Mom’.

Carie was loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Uncle Dale and Aunt Cathie White, Eric and Laura Schoenbeck, Aunt Sue and Uncle Steve Coffin, Dana and Mike Peters, Grace and John Reilley, Claire Peters, Jennifer Coffin and Steve Gallant, Karen and Richard Handley, Kathy and Tom Toomey, Kim O’Connell, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Denny Parks, Lynette and Mike Schehen, Kip Parks, Randy Parks. Carie was predeceased by her Grandparents: Goldie and Wilbur Williams, Alice and Fred White, Uncle Dave Williams. Her parents: Danny R. Williams and Carol (Bonnie) Williams.
