Ann Elizabeth (Peckinpaugh) Miller was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 2, 1938 to Charles and Daisy Peckinpaugh and passed away in Wilsonville, Oregon on December 10, 2023. In 1950 Ann's family moved to Falls Church, Virginia, where she attended Falls Church High School. While in high school she met the love of her life, Richard Miller. Richard was her brother Charlie's best friend. After graduating Ann attended Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia for one year. She and Richard then married, hopped in their car and drove to Seattle, where Richard had a job waiting with Boeing. They spent the next 48 years in the Seattle area where they raised three wonderful daughter, living first in Seattle and Bellevue before settling in Issaquah. Ann and Richard moved to Wilsonville, Oregon in 2005 to be near one of their daughters.
Ann was an active mom. Her girls were important in her life and she participated in all of their activities, taking an active role in the Issaquah School District, eventually becoming secretary to the District Assistant Superintendent. After her daughters left home she loved working in retail. Ann was an excellent seamstress and quilter, and a gourmet cook, amazing everyone when she prepared wonderful dishes without a recipe. Best of all, Ann was always happy; she had a wonderful smile and laugh and made everyone around her feel good.
Ann is survived by her husband Richard Miller of Wilsonville, and daughters Teri ( Bob) Crisp of Boise, Debra (Jim Fricke) Miller of Milwaukee, WI, and Bonnee Ewer of Seattle, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and brother Charles Peckinpaugh.
